As a company and as an organization, safety has been and always will be our top priority. In the past six years, we have created a safety system that is closely managed and monitored and aligned with international industry standards. To minimise the risk of injury, we have implemented venue management procedures, signs, announcements and patron rules. JUMP 4 JOY is a physical activity facility where injuries can occur.
We know our business relies on thousands of parents, schools and community groups each week deciding to visit our venue because they regard JUMP 4 JOY as a safe and fun activity. We value and honour the trust placed in us by our customers and do everything in our power to minimise the risk of injury in our venues.
Jump Safety:
There are general safety rules and guidelines posted throughout Jump 4 Joy. All participants at Jump 4 Joy acknowledge and agree to our terms and conditions before participating.
It is possible to become injured even when trampolining and other adventurous or challenging activities are performed properly and in accordance with appropriate rules and guidelines. Our rules and safety guidelines have been developed in conjunction with recognized safety experts, with the specific goal of meeting or exceeding the world’s best practices. To reduce the risk of dangerous situations, especially for inexperienced participants, we clearly post rules at the entrance to each area. The rules are enforced by our staff.
Jump 4 Joy Trampolines VS The Traditional Backyard Trampoline:
Historically, trampoline-related injuries have been caused by jumpers who have ‘fallen off’ a trampoline onto the ground or hit the trampoline’s frame. In order to minimize these risks, Jump 4 Joy ensures all trampoline areas are surrounded with rebounding surfaces, and the frames are padded with high-grade foam padding that has been tested for head attenuation in accordance with potential fall heights. Through design, engineering, construction, staff training, supervision, and research, we have minimized or eliminated the dangers associated with typical home trampolines.
Ninja Warrior Course:
Our adventure-challenge areas have been designed by professionals in the industry to minimise the risks associated with adventure challenges (such as parkour and freerunning) in the urban environment. The areas have also been padded with high-grade foam to further minimise risks.
Padding:
There are more than two inches of high-grade foam padding covering all trampoline support structures (the steel and springs between the trampoline beds). The padding increases to eight inches in the Performance Trampoline area. The springs are enclosed in polypropylene sheets and padded with vinyl. We have met or exceeded the padding requirements recommended by all applicable international standards.
Staff Training & Supervision:
All activity areas are supervised by trained staff, and all team members complete:
Training on safe conduct and risk minimisation that is conducted internally (multiple modules)
Training is completed by all members of the team prior to monitoring areas.
The three core safety rules are:
1. One trampoline per person
2. Work within your capabilities
3. Avoid jumping or landing on the padding
There are dedicated rules per area, which expand upon the above core rules.
To prevent collisions, our staff enforces the ‘one person per trampoline/apparatus’ rule. We will restrict children under five years old from certain areas to prevent larger children or adults from jumping near the smaller jumpers.
Grip Socks & Shoes:
We require all jumpers at Jump 4 Joy to wear our grip socks, designed to help ensure maximum grip, safety, and general hygiene.
For adventure-challenge areas, such as Ninja Warrior Courses, participants are encouraged to wear flat-soled, closed-toed shoes with tight laces.
